A week of control.

Well the week has come around again and it’s been a busy, creative, entertaining one at that. From the finished promo for Miss Lisa Lashes, to the Wednesday night gig with Free Control to the mammoth event that was Free Control (once again) opening the festivities on Sunday @ Summer Sundae this has been a week to celebrate.

In retrospect, the gig on Wednesday was perfectly timed, visually stunning (even if I do say so myself) and through the use of alcohol and a 30 minute warmup session, I produced the best, most coherient visual set for the band so far even with new visual loops from Sally. Once again, Sally had the foresight to setup her camera and has the entire set recorded. So it will be a simple matter of running through the set, noting the visuals used, and crossreferencing them with the video from Summer Sundae and voila! I will have a 90% complete, custom set for each and every song to date \o/ (just how it should be).

Firefly @ Nottingham University Summer Ball

Well for theLAB’s second visit to Nottingham it was all a bit hectic.  Now usually all things going well, there is a long period of prep work to be enjoyed.  This time though, no.  Got a message via Facebook requesting theLAB’s details be passed onto the organisers for an event this weekend (this is Wednesday by the way).  Couple of quick phone calls, and by the Thursday the prep work began in earnest.

This event was not only made a special one by the turn out of all theLAB membership, but also an impromptue visit from the lovely Nina, as well as Hannah, V, Sally, Chris, and to be honest loads more!  Too many names for this poor head to remember.

Massive thanks have to goto the organisers of the Firefly tent, not only was there a suitably copious amount of booze and teeth rotting sweets, but everyone there seemed to enjoy the visual set as much as we did.

Half a post (but it’s been too long since an update!).

Peace.

Freecontrol @ Glastonbudget

Landing at Leicester railway station around 11:45 via a bus and I had managed to catch up with about 90 mins dozing.  Dave had gratiously agreed to pick me up with my gear and get me to his home for a lift with himself and Deryn.  Were on out way to Glastonbudget, a three day festival with Freecontrol acting as the headline act in the Charnwood Arts tent that evening.
